Witnesses unto Me

May 5, 2014
Good Morning My Beloved Ones,
I pray that you are drawing ever nearer to your Lord and are watching for His return.
Today I want to talk to you about “Witnesses unto
Me”.  Acts 1:8 says, “But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”     What is a witness?   It is someone who has seen something with his own eyes, heard something with his own ears, experienced something first hand.
God breathes His Spirit into us when He created us.  He fills us again when we accept Christ.  But Jesus said in Acts 1:8, that we shall receive power after the Holy Ghost has come UPON us (not in us).  This is something we must ask for.  Do you want a first-hand experience of God in your life?  We have not, because we ask not, our Bible tells us.

Something miraculous happens after the Holy Ghost has come upon you.  You experience first-hand God’s love, grace and mercy.  You see with your eyes, His provision in your life, hear with your ears His promises and experience their fulfilling in your life.  Then you are equipped to witness to others.
We are called to be witnesses unto Him in Jerusalem (where you live – your city), in all Judea (your county), in Samaria (your state), and to the uttermost part of the earth (the rest of the world).  You don’t have to plan to do this.  Jesus said once you receive the power of the Holy Ghost upon you, you shall be witnesses in these places.
We are witnesses in our city by sharing the love of Christ with those around us, encouraging, sharing scripture.  They in turn, share what you’ve shown them with those in their spheres of influence and your witness spreads.  It’s like these letters.  I started encouraging 3 people and sharing scripture with them.  The letters are now going into 27 states and 6 countries and who knows who the recipients are sharing them with!
You can be a witness to Christ both in Jerusalem, in all Judea, in Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth, beloved ones.  Ask for the Holy Ghost to come upon you and begin witnessing today!
For we cannot help but speak the things we’ve seen and heard. (Acts 4:20)

Your sister, Raelynn
