Be careful what you ask for

January 27, 2014

Good Morning My Beloved Ones,

I pray that you are taking in the wisdom of God’s word and are allowing it to change your lives.

Today I want to talk to you about “Be careful what you ask for”.  You know the rest of that saying…”you might just get it!”  Did you know that it is possible to pray amiss?  James 4:3 says “You ask and receive not because you ask amiss that you might consume it upon your lusts.”  It is saying that if you ask for things that feed your flesh, God may not give them to you because you are asking for the wrong things.  But there is a greater danger.  Sometimes when we ask amiss, God gives us what we ask for.

If You’re Sure

January 20, 2014
Good Morning My Beloved Ones,
I pray today you are confident in who you are in Christ and in all He’s done for you.
Today I want to talk to you about “If You’re Sure”.  Ok, I’ll admit it.  I love commercials. I memorize jingles.  There was a commercial in the ‘80’s for a deodorant and the jingle went,
“Confident, confident, dry and secure, raise your hand, raise your hand if you’re Sure.”  They were saying that if you used Sure deodorant you’d be confident enough that there would be no odor or sweat stains that you could lift your arms up in the air.

The Right Tool

January 13, 2014
Good Morning My Beloved Ones,
I pray when all around you is chaos, you possess a peace that keeps you and spreads out to others.
Today I want to talk to you about “The Right Tool”.  During my time as a single woman, there have been occasions when I’ve needed to use a tool, and of course, not having a tool box lying around, I’ve had to improvise.  I’ve used the only real tool I own, a pair of channel-locks (though why or how I have them, I don’t know) to pound in a nail.  I’ve used a butter knife to turn a screw.

Needless to say, these makeshift tools made the job take twice as long, more frustrating and at times caused me injury.  There is something satisfying about driving a nail with one good swing of a hammer, or easily tightening a screw with a few twists of a screwdriver.  Life is simpler and runs more smoothly when we use the right tool for the job.

A Letter to our devoted readers

I wanted to apologize to our devoted readers for our lapse in regular posts to this blog.
Along with the hustle and bustle of the holidays,  my beloved bride and I recently married and decided to take a "honeymoon" period to completely devote ourselves to one another.
Although the honeymoon isn't over (and we pray that it never will be), we are ready to get back to our regular routines, which includes resuming regular posts.
We thank you for your devoted readership and hope you will continue to visit this site every week as we continue to present the inspirational writings by Raelynn as we move forward into the new year.

God Bless you and your loved ones in the new year,
Keith Gilman

Time for an Oil Change

January 6, 2014
Happy New Year, My Beloved Ones,
I pray that it is a new year for your relationship with Christ and that in this year you grow in faith and in love and in favor with God and man.
Today I want to talk to you about “Time for an Oil Change”.   Car manufacturers recommend that you get your oil changed every 3 months or 3000 miles, whichever comes first.  This routine maintenance is required to keep your car operating as it should.  If you rarely or never changed your oil, what would happen?  The oil thickens and turns into a solid sludge.  It no longer moves freely, lubricating the moving parts, reducing friction.  The parts then can stick together causing the engine to seize – quit.
