What are you hungry for?

February 24, 2014
Good Morning My Beloved Ones,
I pray that nothing that may come upon you today can diminish your joy- for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
Today I want to talk to you about “What are you hungry for?”  Have you ever just stood in front of the refrigerator scanning its contents and finding nothing you want to eat?  You’re hungry, but you’re not sure what you are hungry for.  You’re not sure what is going to satisfy.

My granddaughters are the pickiest eaters I’ve ever seen.  They always seem to be starving until I set a plate in front of them.  Then suddenly, they are not hungry anymore.  When I call them on it, they say, “I’m hungry, but not for THAT”.  Once in a great while I can get them to taste something and they discover that they do like it and begin to eat.

Invaluable

February 17, 2014
Good Morning My Beloved Ones,
I pray your eyes are on the sky, for your redemption draweth nigh.
Today I want to talk to you about “Invaluable”.  At my mom’s last yard sale, she had an old plate marked for $3.00.  Out of curiosity, my uncle looked up the plate on the internet and found that the exact same plate was currently selling on Ebay for $49.95.  Mom re-marked the plate for $20 and set it upon the Ebay printout.
What determines value?  In our economic society, value is determined by what someone is willing to pay for a particular item.  If an item is so valuable that there is not enough money to put a price on it, it is determined to be “invaluable”.

The lens of grace

May 20, 2013

Good Morning My Beloved Ones,

I pray your souls are being watered and like godly plants are reaching toward the Son.

Today I want to talk to you about “the lens of grace”.  Do you ever wonder how God sees you?  I guarantee He doesn’t see you the way you do.  God looks at you through the lens of grace.

A prime example is found in II Peter 2:8,9 where God (through Peter) says that He delivered “righteous” Lot, that he was a “righteous” man who had a “righteous” soul.  God is talking about the same Lot who chose to live in one of the wickedest cities in the world at that time – Sodom.  Lot, who dwelled in the city’s gates (was part of their government), who offered up his virgin daughter to a mob who would abuse her, and who, when the angels tried to get him to leave Sodom, dawdled, made excuses and had to be led out of the city by the hand to avoid destruction.  This Lot God saw as righteous.  How is that possible?  God was looking through the lens of grace.

As I Live and Breathe

February 3, 2014
Good Morning My Beloved Ones,
I pray you realize what a miracle you are and that you don’t take one day of your life for granted.
Today I want to talk to you about “As I Live and Breathe”.  “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7

Did you know that the name of God, Yahweh, when pronounced correctly cannot even be spoken with words?  The sound of it is the sound of expelling a breath.  Think about this for a moment in the light of the scripture you just read.  When God created man, He expelled a breath (spoke His name) into his nostrils and man became a living soul.
